Forgetting that I did not know the mans name I grabbed him and headed into the bar. I was sure they could not get inside.

Once inside I noticed the people didn’t realize what was going on outside, or that it was just normal for them. I sat at the bar as the woman who said her name was Evelyn began to tell me how long she had been investigating the strange happenings in town.
“I have been here for weeks trying to find out what is going on over at the secret science lab.” She began with a little edge to her voice. “I have looked over the door there so many times I know how to build it. I just can’t open it!”

Another woman sat down at the bar, “Can I buy you a drink?” I offered her. I was hoping to get some information about what was happening outside. “I’d love a “Salty Llama”, She stated as she slid the bar stool closer to the bar. The blond woman looked like she might have some information.
“Do you know what is happening?” I asked her as the bar tender poured her drink.
“Oh, you mean with the people or the science lab?” she giggled and continued, “Or maybe you are talking about the Military base?”

“What about the Base?” the man behind the bar questioned. “I was just wondering what was going on outside with the people.” I stated flatly not wanting to really upset anyone. I dig for the story, not pry for the story.
“Find a table and we can talk.” The man said. The couple that was staying at the hotel had already found a table and I decided to join them.

“I can’t tell you anything more than you need a key card to get through the door.” The man stated and then just as quickly as he walked up, he walked away. “A KEY CARD!” Evelyn yelled almost spilling her drink as she slammed it to the table.

Before I left the bar, I decided to ask about Strangerville from a woman who looked like she sold goods. “Hi, I’m SimScope. Can I buy you a drink?” I asked her as I sat down. “Are you hitting on me?” She asked and before I could answer she followed up, “Because I don’t like girls.”
I began to laugh, “No, No! Absolutely not.” I cleared my throat, “I wanted to ask you about Strangerville.”
“OH, you want the Tea?” She laughed as she went on, “Yeah, something is defiantly goin’ on at the lab. Check out me’ strange plants.” Her accent began to show as she continued to speak. “An’ don’t forget to head on or’ to Henford-on-Bagley, I gotta shop there.”
Well with her little plug for a possible future story I headed back to the motel for the night. When I entered my room, I wasn’t alone. Lord Virgil was sitting in my room watching the only TV in the whole Lot.

“I was wondering when you would come back.” He said. “In the morning go down the street and talk to the Curio guy.”
“Thanks for the tip!” I said and told him it was time to leave my room.
Before he got up, he turned to look at me, “Would you want to go on a date some time? When you’re not busy of course.” I was a little surprised, a royal asking out little old me. “I’ll think about it.” I flirted a little. “I’ll call you. Leave your number at the front desk.”

Right now, the story is more important.
